What is a “Bar Camp” anyway?

I received a second email this morning, asking just such question. I like the definition wikipedia gives for it.
According to Wikipedia, BarCamp is an international network of user generated conferences — open, participatory workshop-events, whose content is provided by participants — often focusing on early-stage web applications, and related open source technologies, social protocols, and open data formats.
For us, it will be a meeting of the minds
# Who? Anyone who is interested in technology including but not limited to telecommunications, software/hardware, web 2.0, opensource/enterprise solution, - and all things in between.
# What? A good opportunity to share ideas, start conversations and build connections with people and organizations making a positive impact in Africa
Is BarCamp free?
Yes! It is free! You can just register here and also at the registration table and come into the event! Food will also be provided for Lunch and possibly, breakfast. We are still trying to get catering for breakfast.
